Residency is where you begin to establish yourself as a competent podiatric physician. Our competitive, three-year PMSR/ RRA (Rearfoot Reconstructive, Ankle) residency program furthers your podiatric education with advanced didactic and clinical skills to enhance your competency. You will work alongside experts and mentors as you dive deeper into the world of podiatric medicine and patient care. With extensive training in a variety of medical settings, you’ll graduate prepared for anything in your podiatric career.
Immersive Clinical Practice
From day one, residents are integrated into patient care, practicing under the mentorship of expert faculty and board-certified podiatric surgeons.
Our clinical rotations span across nearby world-renowned hospitals and our on-site, affiliated clinic, the Foot Center of New York, where you will follow your patients for both nonsurgical and surgical cases. Here, you’ll experience the full spectrum of podiatric medicine while working diverse cases ranging from routine foot and ankle care to difficult surgical procedures, including complex reconstructive rearfoot and ankle cases.
Comprehensive Didactic Training
We believe that exceptional clinical practice is built on a foundation of strong academic knowledge. Our GME program provides a robust curriculum consisting of case presentations, weekly journal clubs, and seminars led by guest speakers and medical experts. Our classroom-based learning is paired with hands-on workshops that reinforce practical skills through simulated scenarios and case-based discussions.
